Jadon-Maurice Forbes is an essayist, digital organizer, and all-around dope ass person. He has been an electoral and community organizer for eight years and a storyteller all his life. Jadon-Maurice got his start in Democratic campaigning, focusing on strengthening connections between Black and Brown youth and political engagement.
In his transition from community-based to digital organizing and storytelling, he has channeled his passion for mobilizing folks, across all lines of difference, into helping progressive non-profits create people-focused infrastructures that support federal, state, and local power-building.
He considers it his secondary career to continually address systems that promote racial inequality in every workplace he enters. Such is often the forced calling of people with his skin color, but the work he does today lessens the load for those tomorrow.
He loves being black.
